01 - Rinse fresh dandelion petals and leaves thoroughly under cold running water to remove dirt and debris. Pat dry if needed.
02 - Bring filtered water to a rolling boil in a small saucepan or kettle.
03 - Place prepared dandelion petals and leaves in a teapot or heatproof container.
04 - Pour boiling water over dandelions. Cover container and allow to steep for 8-10 minutes to extract full flavor and beneficial compounds.
05 - Strain tea through a fine mesh strainer into cups, discarding solids. Add honey or lemon slice if desired. Serve immediately while hot.
