01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
03 - Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and pat dry with paper towels.
04 - Brush the lemon garlic mixture evenly over the top and sides of each salmon fillet.
05 - Optionally, arrange lemon slices on top of each fillet for additional flavor.
06 - Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until salmon flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
07 - Remove from oven, garnish with extra chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
