01 - Combine strawberries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl. Mash lightly and heat for 2-3 minutes until strawberries are soft and syrupy. Allow to cool slightly, then blend until completely smooth.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk matcha powder with hot water until completely dissolved and frothy, using a bamboo whisk or milk frother to ensure no lumps remain.
03 - Divide the strawberry puree evenly between two serving glasses. Add ice cubes on top of the puree layer.
04 - Pour milk gently over the strawberry and ice layer to maintain separation between the layers.
05 - Carefully pour the matcha mixture over the milk to create a distinct layered effect. Stir before drinking to combine flavors if desired.
